Lecture Programme 2026

All our lectures will now be held on the second Tuesday of the month, October to April. The venue is the Toby Carvery (L39 1NN)  situated at the Five Ways junction on the A59 Ormskirk bypass commencing  at 2.30pm

Parking is available

All members are invited to join us, the lectures are free and you may bring guests.  There is nominal charge of £2.00 for non members of ODANTM

Today we will be entertained to a talk by Jean Finney entitled  ‘The origin of nursery rhymes’.

TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 8^TH

 For our first talk of the Autumn season  Francis Raftery will wow us with her talk entitled “The Royal Personal Jewels.”

TUESDAY OCTOBER 13^TH 2026

Today we welcome the return of Keith Hick who will abandon the railways to give us a talk entitled ‘Wings over Sefton’

Josephine Gosling will give us a talk entitled ‘Ambles past architecture’

Following our AGM we will be given a talk by a member of staff from Rufford Old Hall
